Recently we were fortunate to take part in a landmark work in cooperation with a group of scientists from the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences under the leadership of Ilya Yampolsky.
For the first time ever, genetically modified plants with a bright self-sustaining glow were obtained. These plants glowed at least 10 times brighter than all reported in previous works.
The results were published in the journal Nature Biotechnology and elicited a broad response in the Russian and world press.
